I am now using DAZ studio for skinning and all that jazz, but i was wondering...
When I upload a texture, the area that the texture doesnt cover turns black.. is there any way to change this color? I deal with black clothing designs from time to time..and the fact that it turns non-textured things black, makes it hard to see to line up edges and the like
if anyone can tell me anything, It'd be great.. and thanks to everyone for being so helpful!

I don't use DAZ so I don't know the answer to your question, but since you didn't get an answer I figured I'd bump ya back to the top

I don't use DAZ either, but could you possibly cover the areas with no texture with another texture? Or do you mean that the parts that would be transparent in SL are black? If so, just place a solid colored layer below your design before saving it to try out.

Amyra, What I did was use a skin texture as the background on clothes when I upload them to DAZ Studio. I used Jinny Fonzarelli’s free skin. I don’t know if you can get it any longer? I tried to email it to someone but, it is so big it didn’t go. Anyway, the skin background makes the arm’s and legs look real. I haven’t got it to work with the skirts, however. Sorry I can't help you more. Jen
