I use to have a long time ago, a nifty program that made panoramic images- i googled for a Gimp one today so here you go folks- hope it will be as fun for you as it is being for me:

No- tht one i had, but it is fuzy in places so i am going to rework it later- if i double the image i bought and stich it together it MIGHT imprve the overall quality of the sphere
