Getting Shoes To Attaach to Right Foot

I made some prim shoes (pink bunny slippers) and am having difficulty being able to just wear them. I have a right and left shoe and when i "wear" the left one it goes on the left foot but then so does the right one. I attached the right one to my right foot and positioned it but then when i go to use "wear" next time it attaches to the left foot again.

I hope this isn't a silly question - i did look through the forums and documentation.

OK...If you buy right and left shoes, then all you should have to do is to drag them onto your avatar, or right click the item in your inventory and choose wear.

If you choose attach instead of wear, you can screw up the setting of the item. You then have to fix it, by attaching the individual shoes to the individual feet, and adjusting their position as required.

There are several ways in which things can go wrong. If you have previously not set the attach positions properly, and you then choose wear, the shoe attaches to the wrong foot, and just moving it by editing to the proper foot won't fix it - it will sitll be attached to the wrong foot and will displace the shoe for that foot too.

To fix the positions, you need to attach to the left foot, alter the position to get it right, then attach the other shoe to the right foot and adjust the position. When you put the shoes back on next time, just choose wear.

If this is what you have been doing and it isn't working, try relogging first. After that check that you are actually trying to wear the fixed shoes and not copies that are still borked. I would rename them to be sure. After that, I am out of ideas .
