I have used a texture on one item I made (a prim bikini top) and would like to use it on another. I cannot, however, remember the name of the texture. When I edit the original item and go to the texture tab and click on the texture pic, a message about object not found displays instead of the name/path of the texture. As I have over a thousand textures, I am daunted by the prospect of going through each and every texture to find this one again. Has anyone found an alternative? This was a freebie texture I got with about a thousand others the same day from Torley Linden's house.
And would opening a texture and screenshotting it be the best method of moving that texture to my computer foruse in Gimp?

With the texture picker a little on the loopy side at the moment, I'm afraid your options are limited on finding it. As for saving it to your hard driving for use with your graphics program: Open the texture ->Go to FILE in the tool bar at the top of your screen-> Save File As then save it (of course you need full perms to do this with any texture). Best, ~Ari

I just tried it with a texture and it worked...although getting textures from my hard drive to SL has been an adventure today. Maybe it's SL having issues again. ~Ari

Thank you, Ari.... I'll try your suggestion if SL ever lets me on (getting the "despite our best efforts" message, hehe).
