I've got a problem with my textures and can't seem to find anyone who knows what's going on. I'm fairly new to building and have just been putzing around trying to get the hang of sizing and applying textures. A few days ago, I was playing around with the texture box in edit, just seeing what the flip boxes were about, and changing numbers in the repeat boxes to see how it affected the textures. I'm not sure what I did, but ever since then whenever I try applying a texture it goes on multiple times....like tiles almost. The flip boxes are both checked and the numbers in the repeat boxes vary from 4 - 20. It doesn't matter how many times I uncheck those dang flip boxes, or how many times I change those numbers...the next time I apply a texture it's the same thing. I've had two friends who are experienced builders try to help and neither one can figure it out. I've done a reinstall and still the same thing. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks

If it's happening to just one object, not to all, then I can think of a few possibilities:
1. You changed the surface mapping type from default to planar. Planar mapping uses repeats per meter, not repeats per face. It's easy to misunderstand what's happening if you don't realize that.
-AND/OR-
2. You have, or at one time had, a script in the offending object that reset its texture repeat properties. If that's the case, then until you kill that script you'll continue to have issues. Depending on what commands were in it, simply deleting the script won't necessarily remove its effects. Some commands are persistent. If the script is still in place, you'll need to edit any persistent commands to turn them off. If it's been deleted, you'll need to use a new script to counter it.
-AND/OR-
3. It could be a cache discrepancy. Try clearing your cache and relogging.
If it's happening to all objects you create, including brand new ones, then I can only think of one possibility. Something is wrong with your viewer installation. Uninstall it, and reinstall it.
If it's not any of those things, I'm stumped.

I posted to this thread, and verified that the post was there. Now it's gone.
Did you get my message about texture anims?
Edit: nevermind. Found it. This was posted to more than one forum.
