Is it possible, somehow, to rotate/scale a texture on one side of a prim independently of the others sides?

Yes At the top left of the edit dialogue box is a list of checkboxes. Check the one that says "Select Texture" and then click the surface you want to edit. Your changes will only affect that surface.
