How do I put textures to make a new skin?

Maybe I'm a bit stupid or so, but I've made in Photoshop some textures for making skins but when I try to put them on my avatar I can only modify a modifiable skin I am wearing. When I look into properties this new skin remains as skin made by someone else. How can I do my own new skin? Please, help me.

I don't have the client in front of me, but when you're editing appearance there's a 'create new' for each item, including face, upper body, lower body, hair, eyes, as well as all the clothings. So create a new one, check in your inventory for a 'New Head' or 'New Upper Body' - rename it something helpful, right-click and 'Wear'.

Creating a new item only appears in my client for clothing but not for skin.

In inventory, you can create a new body shape, new eyes, or a new skin. Then wear and edit that to add your textures.

You can create all new items from the menu from the toolbar in INVENTORY.

Create new skin, wear it..Edit App...plop your textures in the right squares.

Ow. Yeah, sorry, I forgot new for body parts was in a different place.
