Okay.. so once upon a time i used SL and made clothing.. Not amazing clothing.. not spectacular clothing.. but clothing that i was happy with at the time. Sometimes, these items of clothing involved sections of transparency.like in mesh shirts or in the cuts of skirts..
Then along came an update..which one.. im not sure.. but all of the backgrounds of my textures went from transparent to white..and when i use said textures, I am left with an unfortunate white line that trims them. This is fine when im doing say..a white shirt.. but on say..anything else.. it becomes troublesome.
Can anyone help?

Take a look at Chosen Few's sticky thread at the top of this forum. Her explanation offers methods for eliminating the white mess that alpha can create.

A very simple solution is to make a layer under your main layer and fill it with whatever color is dominant in your main layer and just leave that there. So far it works for me and has eliminated my white line woes.

There are a few methods.... First off The basic Methods in most of the programs will produce a white "halo" effect around the clothing. It can be fixed with a few extra steps and the methods posted here work quite well. I use a diff method then default one i made up myself to help out people that had no clue about things in PSP or PS. But i digress. That has been around here since before you joined SL really. Less your an alt But i digress. That problem has been in SL for a little over a year

I just make sure my BG's are black when I save them as targas. I use photoshop, so if you use that, make a layer under your pic, fill it in with black, and save it like that when you're ready to save the texture.
