Where is the preview feature found?

A friend got me hooked on SL recently. Even though I don't have a premium account yet, I've been working on some clothes and would like to preview them. She showed me that I could preview without any money, but now I can't find where to do it.

When you go to upload the texture (File->Upload ...), it will show you a preview. There's a drop-down list to choose what the preview is applied to, so you'd want to choose the torso for clothes.

She might have also been talking about making use of the Preview Grid to try out new designs. Spending money in Preview won't have any effect on your main grid account, so you can upload and try on a lot of clothing there without it costing you real virtual money.

The first time you connect to 1.12/Aditi, you get L$5000 of preview money, in addition to whatever balance your main grid account had on a day in mid-June -- I don't remember exactly which day they used. New accounts coming into 1.11/Siva don't seem to be getting the bonus money. When Siva was first set up, they distributed the bonus Lindens, but Siva was later re-checkpointed because of a database crash and the bonus money was lost. If your account gets stipends, you also get them in preview each week.

Note that the upload preview feature does require money. It doesn't cost money -- no lindens leave your account when you use it -- but it does require that the L$10 for the upload be there in the first place.
