Ok yes I am new to building, but over 2 hours ago my SL crashed on me and got that damn youcan't log in till such time error, anyways I have spent the last 2 hours going thru many threads here and just have not been able to find the answer to my question. Which may be a simple one but don't shoot me, I did take the effort to look for an answer.

My question is if I make a wall panel 10x10x1 I want to put an inside texture on one side and an outside texture to the other side, still keeping it at 1 prim how is this done, I have seen it, but can't figure it out.

you can drag the texture from your invontory to the face of the prim you wish to change and then do the same on the other

or you can write a long script to do it for you also and learn two things at once

Selecting one side of a prim to texture it

When you have the object highlighted and are in build mode you can select the checkbox "Select Texture" to select only one face of the prim.
