yes i am using Photoshop 7.0 to make textures for clothing and some prim jewelry work right now, and will be moving into wooden thing soon a boat and maybe tinker around with skins but my main problem is this. the color i see in Photoshop are way way lighter when i get them on to the grid. i mean way off if i'm going for a forst or even a kelly green it looks like i'm using black john deere green is also black looking same problem with grays. am i using the wrong color setting when i open a file i'm using the rgb defualt, any sujestions on how to make it closes i can understand it being a little off but when you working with stuff so dark your pointer and crosshair is invisable it makes it hard

First and most important thing is to calibrate your monitor ..
Make "Black" as black as possible and "white" as white as possible ... ..Whilst .. also attempting to get a smooth a transition through the grey scale as possible .. there are many websites that can help you achieve this .. http://epaperpress.com/monitorcal/ http://www.photofriday.com/calibrate.php to mention just two .. there are also professional calibration tools available but are possibly overkill for your neads. if you have a digital camera and are able to take snaps around your home and back yard under diffrent lighting conditions .. and then be able to compare the RL and pooter image maybe you can build a balance in your minds eye and build an artistic approach to what looks best rather than what is RL accurate. |
