Hi
Just a quick question about the size of the texture that is uploaded after making clothing. Now the templates that you download, whether it be Chip Midnight's hi-rez versions or the LL versions, are 1024x1024. This is great because of the detail you can potentially create with the templates but what about all the designs that a basically just solid colored shapes, without much detail at all. A vast majority of clothing is like this.
Is it possible to shrink the size of the image to a more reasonable size, such as 512x512 or 256x256, when details are not present/important in the clothing, and still have the clothing work? I assume it would be fine, as it is only the "relative" positions of the pixels on the image that matter but wanted to check first.
If you have 5 articles of clothing, each with 1024x1024 size textures to load each time someone looks at you it is going to cause framerate loss. Unless there is a high level of detail, why cause unnecessary graphical load?

I've resized my templates to 512x512. It just works better for me on my monitor. Haven't noticed any real signicant difference. So go for it.

The LL templates are 512x512. This is the size that clothing should be. You're correct that thechnically there is no mandatory size, and that it's the relative pixel positions that count, but for performance reasons, 512x512 is what you want. Chip's hi-res templates are hi-res because they are higher than the normal resolution. If you use them, you should resize your images to 512x512 before uploading to SL.

So basic stuff, including "some" tattoos, could be 64x64 or 128x128 really. Great ok.
