A door texture, or a door? If you mean a door TEXTURE, then you either buy a wall texture that has a door drawn into it or you create one yourself with Photoshop, Gimp, or some other program. If you mean a DOOR, then you create or buy a door texture, apply it to a prim to make a door, and then hang it in an open space bounded by prims. People in this forum will be glad to offer more specific advice if you can offer a bit more detail in your question. :)

As Rolig said, it depends on what you mean by that. Does the door need to function as a door? Does it need to visibly open? Is a low prim count more important than realistc function? Do you have a full-perms copy of the wall texture that you want to put the door on? Do you know how to manipulate texture files in Photoshop or some other image editing application?

=====
If you have a 1-prim wall, and want it to look like it has a non-functional door in it, there are two ways to do that easily enough:

A: Upload the wall texture to your computer, add a door image to the wall texture in a graphics application, download the modified texture to SL, and then apply it to your wall.

B: Add one more prim where you want the door to be, textured like a door, and embedded in the wall so the door surface sticks out beyond the wall surface a bit on both sides.

Neither of these, by itself, makes the door in any way functional. But if you just wanted to imply a door was there for a closet or bathroom or some other "unused room", they might do for you.

=====
If you really want to keep the prim count low, and realism isn't a big deal with you, you can use a wall texture that already has a door on the texture, and just make the 1-prim wall a phantom part of the build. That means the WHOLE WALL can be walked through, and even if you aim squarely at the door, it doesn't open - you just walk through it.

A phantom part in a build is _usually_ a seperate part from the rest, because normal linking actions cause all prims in a linkset to be either phantom, or not phantom. But there are two ways to still link a phantom wall into a build:

A: Make the phantom wall flexi, make it very stiff and unaffected by wind, and link that to the build. Note that the "bottom" of the prim, as initially rezzed, needs to be at the top of the wall if you make it flexi, so the flexible part hangs down from that end. If you don't flip the prim over, your wall droops, rather than hanging like a curtain. A flexi wall may still seem to shift a bit in position, as the client attempts to make it flex.

B: Search the scripting WIKI for the term "Phantom Child". There is an LSL scripting trick that can make a single prim in a linkset phantom, as long as that prim isn't the root prim. And it can be applied to multiple prims in the linkset.

All of the above still don't get you a "realistic" door and wall. At best, they get you the appearance of a door and wall, but when you walk into them, they are clearly an illusion.

=====
Making a "real" door in a wall requires using more prims. Usually that means slicing the wall up into at least three prims - one on either side of the door, and one above the door - and making the door itself a fourth prim. You can use the same wall texture - you just adjust the repeats and offsets in each direction to only show the parts of the wall texture that are needed for that wall prim.

Now you can have the wall remain solid, the door remain solid, and you can script the door to open and close like a hinged door or a sliding door.

There are free scripts in the Script Library forum for making scripted doors.

The best forum to search for information on exactly how to build walls with doors in them is the Building Tips forum. It's a popular discussion topic there - one that comes up often from new builders.
