Anyway im just starting too draw my own sketches on paper too scan it in for when i get my laptop back..Now..im just wondering some of the tattoos we see with many different collages of images ..just like in RL... i mean how do they know where they are drawing on the sheet for when they scan it in and have it on the character?... Like do they just draw on a A4 sheet and then chop it up how they want in photoshop etc?... im guessing thats all you can do ??? :/

If I'm reading you right, it seems like you need a basic intro to avatar texturing in general. Go to the downloads section of this site, grab the template collection, and read the instructions that come with the package. After that, I'm sure this all will be much more clear to you.
Where the tattoo (or anything else) will end up on the body depends on where you place it on the avatar templates. So, if you draw your tattoo on a piece of paper and then scan it, as you're proposing, what you would do next is extract the tattoo image from its background, paste it into the appropriate template (upper body, lower body, or face), size it accordingly (most likely you'll need to shrink it a ton), and place it wherever you want it to be. If you want it on the chest or the back or the thigh or whatever, just put it on the corresponding specific area of the template.

lol thanks for your reply..i was kinda just asking too see what other people would say ... i know how too use the templates seeing as i've made over 20 selling tattoos already .. so i definatley know how too use them and texturing etc. I was just curious on some of the things i've seen so far. But its ok..you backed up what i thought already so i just wanted too see really..I get that i have too scan in and then chop and size knew that before.. just some of the tattoos ive seen look complicated but it makes sense now .. ( mainly talking about full back and front tattoo's or just tattoos that cover ost of the arms chest and back..) Thanks
