Ok, I got a question. From reading other threads it look like you can take a SL texture, pull it out of the game, then put it MS paint or adoby photoshop and edit it. My question is, how do you pull the texture out and save it to disk?

If a texture has full permissions (meaning modify, copy, and transfer are all enabled) you can save it to your hard drive by opening it, making sure it's the active window, then going up to the "file" menu at the top of the screen and selecting "save texture to disk." Any other method for copying textures without full permissions is theft, so don't do it.

If you have full permissions on the texture, double click it in your inventory to view it. Then, click on the word "File" at the top of the screen, and then on "Save Texture As...". Choose a location to save the file, and click OK.
Two things to be aware of:
1. All textures will save as TGA (Targa) files, so you won't be able to use MS Paint. You'll need to use a quality image editor such as Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or GIMP.
2. Make certain you have permission to modify the texture. Saving the file in this manner won't work unless you do. If you don't have permission, please respect the rights of the creator, and don't do anything illegal.
