Hi, this has been bugging me for sometimes and I just can't seem to get it right consistantly... When I make some ads for items I wish to sell when in photoshop they are crisp clear and nice, I upload them and some when I zoom in close are VERY blurry and I can not make out the details of the items I wish to sell, hindering potental customers I am sure from purchases since maybe they see this to....

Please offer me a suggestion, I upload them 512x512, 32bit tga...

Thanks

Well, first of all, you don't need 32 bits. That's just eating memory space. For something as simple as an ad, just use 24 but TGA. You don't have any transparency.

That's not the problem with fuzziness, but you ought to do something about it anyway. I suspect that you are making your ads as 512x512 textures, right? Try making them as 1024 x 1024 instead and then downsizing them to 512x512 or, better yet, to 256x256 before you save for upload. That will make your images much crisper.

ANY image is going to look fuzzy if you blow it up too big on your screen. The thing to do is create a texture that is big enough to be clear at a normal viewing distance but not so big that it takes an age to rez. If you expect people to see your ad as a 2" x 2" square on the screen, a 256x256 pixel image should be fine. If you have a lot of fine detail to show off, or if you're making a poster-sized image, go with 512 x 512.
