Default Prim Texture

Just wondering is there a way to change the default prim texture without having to get the open sorce client and modding it, thanks in advance

Nope. The default isn't just your default. It's the universal default.

On the chance you're asking this for the same reason I wondered about it...

If you're working on something that uses the same texture on lots of prims, you can hold down the Shift key and move the prim using one of the arrows - this makes a copy of your original prim, textures and all. Doesn't work on linked prims though.

Sure it does. It just won't work if you have "Edit linked parts" turned on. It works on whole objects, not on components of objects, so if you want to duplicate an entire linked object, just make sure "Edit linked parts" is turned off, and you can shift-drag the whole thing.

Alternatively, you can turn on "Copy selection" on the Create Tool, and then you can make a copy of your selected object wherever you click. Turning on "Center copy" will ensure that the new object spawns in the center of whatever surface you click on, which makes aligning things pretty easy.
