Hi all,
Do you need or would it be better to have something else besides the computer to help with the game in certain areas?
For example: For designing Avatars and other in-game things like Adobe or something similar?
I was told items like that help out in certain areas of the game.
Thanks

I'm completely confused here.
All of the software and fonts that Adobe makes (you didn't specify which Adobe product you are referring to,) run on a computer.
Without a computer, Adobe products are pretty much worthless.
So, ummmm... what do you mean?
If you're asking if Adobe products help.. ummm... yeah.
You pretty much have to have some kind of graphics program to make clothing, skins, eyes, textures for prims, and all of that stuff. Adobe makes several good products that many of us use. (Photoshop, Illustrator, Photoshop Elements, a number of fonts, and now all the products that Macromedia used to make.)
Could you please rephrase your question?

I suspect he means external software tools like the following, apart from the SL client.
Poser - making animations Photoshop. GIMP, Paintshop, Painter - making textures Sound Recorder - grabbing sound clips, etc. Shoutcast - broadcasting music Maya, Relux, Lightwave - baking radiosity textures Blender - external modeling
and so on and so forth

Generally I find a couple of beers and a comfy pair of slippers invaluable to the creative process. Aside from that, pretty much everything else I rely on the computer for. I generally don't like to rely too heavily on technology but since I started using the ole PC to play SL I've found it runs a whole heckuva lot smoother.
