Tlled Textures in Netherbeck, because they are all seamless, original, and sold as singles for $16 or $17 each. (Not an owner, but a happy customer.)  |

Textures-R-Us is a great place in world for pre-made textures.
Alien Skins for Photo Shop is fun... as well as the myriads of other filters out there.
Recently I've been playing with Texture Maker. It supports scripting and is extremely cool. Can generate some pretty awesome stuff, as well as manipulate your own images. Has several tools for making seamless textures from your photographed and/or hand generated textures.

seriously the only way to make the textures you want for anything online. SL, websites, avatar's, wallpapers etc? Is definately make them yourself. Like its said further up? You'll take more pride in the things you make.
So what if the first few you make suck. It's all a learning process. Hope that comes in handy

I have been going to Textures Unlimited lately. Nice, seamless textures. Drift Monde sells texture collections for a few 100 L$ apiece. She also has a nice club with live music under her main store.
