I got a message the other day that RGB Theta is no longer available in the archives here. I was planning on putting it up in my wiki, but I got seriously side-tracked. So, I'm attaching it here in a ZIP.

PC/Win
RGB 8-bit
TS_rgbtheta.8bf
Filter > Tech Slop > RGB Theta

I also heard that Chip's colourful template for it is also no longer available in the archives. I don't have them (it, singular) any more, so I can't post them (it, singular).

(And I'm still fighting with that other vector thing for bump maps. I'll nail it one of these days.)

They had started to come up corrupt, like a lot of forum attachments, so I hunted them down and reuploaded them. You can find them attached to this post: /109/eb/155651/1.html#post1364321

For anyone who isn't familiar with Abu's incredibly ingenious photoshop plugin, it renders accurate 3d lighting effects for the male and female avatar shapes that can be blended into your skin or clothing textures.

To use it, put Abu's plugin in your plugin directory. Open either the male or female normal maps then run the plugin on it. Fiddle around with the settings until you get the light positioned how you want it. The result will be a grayscale image of the 3d lighting effect that you can split into three 512x512 head, upper body, and lower body images for blending into your work. Paste it on a layer over your clothing or skin texture and play with the blending modes.

oddly enough, the sample already comes up corrupted for me... unless you meant it to have 1980's style pac-man corruption bars accross it?
