Okay I give up..lol

I had my avatar all set up the way I wanted, and in one of those freebie places, I found a "foxy lady bikini". Well, I didnt know they meant the "foxy" part literally. I thought it would just be clothing(a bikini) to wear. But, it turned me into a fox wearing a bikini.

Okay so, I worked and worked at getting myself back to my normal avatar. I took off and detached as much of the costume as I could, and I look normal, but I have a feeling I still have some of the costume still on me(some of it was a tattoo). The "foxy" files wont let me delete them. Does that mean I am still wearing part of it?

Also, I am at a loss to see how to "save" my body(nude avatar). I like to keep it simple and rarely change her. How do I save her in case I accidently mess her up again?

BTW..I am having a blast in SL. :-)

Thank you,
Isabeau

*edited to add:
I searched my files, and found that I do indeed still have the "foxy" shape and skin on. But how do I get rid of these? I've changed my skin..and my shape. So, how do I get ride of the "worn" items so I can delete the files?

You must always be wearing a shape, skin, eyes and hair. You can't just take the current ones off, you must replace them with the new.

That means finding your old ones and putting them on. The chances are, since you've not changed them at all, that they're in the library, in the body parts folder. You might also find them in your inventory, in a folder called female shape and outfit.

To make and save is not entirely intuitive. Go into appearance, then when you're happy, make outfit. You can save shape, skin, eyes etc. rather than your clothes, and save them with the names you like. You can also choose to save clothes, attachments etc. in the same way.

Hi Eloise,

Thank you so much for your help!! First your answer really confused me, but I went back and took it step by step and sure enough I found I was wearing the skin and shape still. So, I changed it, and saved it, and viola!!

Thank you!!
