when I resize an image, using free transform, onto the templates provided, to make a tattoo for secondlife, and do the final upload, the edges of the tattoo are no longer smooth and are in fact rather blurry...
How do i get a nice crisp edge in CS3 to upload, or Gimp for that matter. Why is everything coming out so pixelated? Back when I first joined in 2006 I don't remember having this issue, but I was also using photoshop 7 way back when.

Try doing a search of this forum's archives, using the word "tattoo." There's a pull-down menu at the words "Search This Forum" at the right hand side, top of the forum (NOT the "Search" pulldown on the banner at the very top -- That one searches all of the forums.) You'll find that your question has been asked a surprising number of times. The most popular response is that there simply aren't enough pixels on most parts of the avatar body to preserve tattoo details well, so blurring is almost inevitable. You really ought to read through the many threads yourself, though, because there are some good suggestions for minimizing the problem.

Thank you much for your reply and direction But Yeah, kinda sorta did that, was more or less looking for any tips or tricks someone new may have found... Okie dokie, so I am kinda stuck just dealing with it for now. Haha... Oh well they look pretty good, guess I was just asking for too much, cause realistically in the end the more pixels on the avatar the more lag we get as clients.
