Hi. Where on earth do I begin to learn on how to make clothing here on Second Life? I have been looking through the forums but cannot find any info. on where to start in order to learn. Are there any links anyone can provide to me so that I can begin to learn how?
Thanks.

http://www.mermaiddiaries.com/2006/11/build.htmlthis is a great site for all things to start learning. also just googling clothing tutorials SL brings plenty of options. You can download Gimp for free or have a Photo Shop program. Also I taught myself PS by just doing tutorial after tutorial on almost anything I found. Then thought outside the box, could I use this on clothes?

And of course read through each of the sticky threads at the top of this forum -- even the ones that look like they are dry and boring. Those are the most important ones. I would guess that well over half of the questions in this forum are from people who didn't read those stickies carefully enough.

Not everyone learns well on their own, or from tutorials.
I love Mermaid Diaries though because she includes picture illustrations (very important for some of us who learn visually, also, in case there was any question what is meant) and also explains EXACTLY what to do. She does not assume people already know the program.

My current favorite in-world school for learning clothing is SOMA. They use a unique HUD that comes with about 15 lessons and earns points toward other lessons.
SOMA offers either tutorials that can be purchased and worked on at home or instructor led classes.

Thanks, guys...I'll look into your suggestions. The posties didn't help much as i need to learn the lingo first. I Have experience in PS and have created on another 3d chat program in the past. Hopefully I can pick things up quickly. I will certainly give it a shot. Thanks so much.
