Hi! Im new to SL and have been learning to make those cute flexi skirts.. actually have made some pretty cute ones and even gave one away it was good enough for someone else to wear Im getting pretty good at using the wonderful Looprez Generator that Ged Larson created too.... Sooo ... I was somewhere.. gawd I wish I could remember WHERE and I saw the cutest flexi skirts made by someone.. they were really different with the skirt flaring OUT at the bottom instead of just down or in.. Ive tried messing with the panels I have from the wonderful tutorials from Natalia Zelmanov but alas I just cant seem to figure out how to get the bottom to be an outie instead of an innie .. And sure, the layered flexi's, experiemented with linking two panels together one shorter than the other but for some reason it made the waist part too wide .. ug .. wish I was better at math hehe

Do you mean something like this? I use panels that are much wider at the bottom than at the top, and always make sure flexibility is set to 3 (the maximum) instead of 2 (the default). I also put in the panels at quite a large angle as you can see, that gives more poof, but also more flare at the bottom. Also try to play around with gravity and drag (not sure about the name of the last one).
(PS if you're wondering, yes that is a guy in the pic. I make dresses for crossdressers.)

I've set the gravity setting to a minus number to get that effect in the past. I think it was only like a -0.5. You don't want it floating up over your head. hehe

Dearly Darling,
I love that dress! I need to peek at your shop! More sensible clothing for the mature woman too! Oh and Ms. Betty Doyle I do so love my new hair! The one flexi dress I tried to make looked like an ash tray.
You all have a lovely day.
Ever Yours,
Mrs. Showdog Tiger

That is really a great dress! I appreciate your tips and will keep playing with the settings till i get the desired effect. I guess the best way to explain it is if you had one of the panels out of the skirt, it would be shaped like a J. Anyway great ideas, thanks! Have a lovely day.
