This might sound corney, but I got a lot of general idea looking at the Butterick website. They are the company that sells clothing patterns in all those craft stores.
Anyway, there are lots of illustrations that might spark an idea or two. http://www.mccall.com/ _____________________

I would say just look around at magazines and websites for the fashion ideas that you are looking for. if you want to make Britney Spears-esque clothing then google her and see what she is wearing and base your designs from that. |

hi david!
i would reccomend going to www.ivillage.com and browsing thier women's magazine sites (redbook, cosmopolitan, ect). also, www.women.com seems to have no shortage of articles about mainstream fashion. mostly of the "how to dress sexy" variety. if those dont do it for you, there is always the grocery-store magazines- those always have great ideas in them. ![]() my personal favorites: marie claire vogue in style jane you'll have to flip through some fairly mind-numbing material to get to the pics, but it might be worth it ![]() _____________________

Most of my ideas come from my own RL wish list. I may see someone on the street, or at a club, or on TV and think "i wonder where she got that".
Then I stew about it for days and go look for it online. And when I find something close, and of course can't afford it, I have a good cry, make it in SL, then treat myself to Ben and Jerry's. -Aimee |
