Opening templates in The GIMP

I just started making clothes in Second Life and cant figure out why I cant get templates open in GIMP. I know that these files are for photoshop but what should I do to get templates up in GIMP?

On the main Gimp window...........the one that opens first when you launch GIMP.......go to the file tab and choose "open". Navigate to where you have the templates stored and double click it.

A somewhat silly sounding question though: You did unzip them didn't you? I ask because I forgot to unzip mine while I downloaded them. GIMP can't open a zipped file.

I knew I was going to sound like an idiot one way or another . I did unzip them and tried once and it didnt work(no clue why). Now I got it.
