YEAH PINK RULES, TAYLAA! But that's more fuschia you're doing there, which is a pinkpurple hybrid. :)

Anyhoo, about your Q, you must save as TARGA (.TGA), 32-bit, uncompressed, in order to have transparencies show up properly.

You will know when it works right when you go to the upload preview and see a checkerboarded sort of background, like how transparencies show up under Photoshop itself. That's the basics of it, I'm sure if you need more info, Chosen Few will be more than happy to explain it -- it's such a specialty of his. :)

HI Torley, :)

Sadly, I did save it as a tga in 32 bits :( For some reason it's not saving as a transparentcy since I installed the patch :( It's the patch from the 7.0 adobe bug and for some reason it's not allowing me to make a transparentcy. :*( Do you know of another way of getting around it or should I just uninstall adobe and reinstall it without the patch? I also have CS but I have no idea how to create a transparentcy on that either lol :D

Thank you again for all of your help and Yep! Pink does Rules! Oh and my bad on that fuschia LOL :D

bmp and jpeg dont support alpha

i run into this a tad bit with the gimp, make your image as you want it with the transparency in place make a new picture with the same size except with a already transparent background, copy your image to the new image and save as 24/32 bit tga.

It may not be the correct awnser but it works :) (unless your ps is totally screwed)

Hi Taylaa!

I have a video tutorial explaining how to make things transparent in Photoshop CS on my site here.

Hope that helps!

And, ummm, pink may rule. But I find it very difficult to read against the blue background of the posts.
