Twiddler, I think that's your best tutorial yet. Great stuff.

Ugh. Stop posting stuff. I mean, I might have a few things to say and I really need to not say stuff right now.
Consider: - You can use Gaussian Blur to do High Pass. - You can use High Pass to do Gaussian Blur. - You can use Lens Blur to do variable Gauss. - You can use Lens Blur to do variable High Pass. Meaning, you can use Lens Blur to do variable sharpening in one go. Why, you can even use Lens Blur to blur *and* sharpen in one go. Not only that, but you can do so using medium frequencies. And then there are the techniques for manipulating amplitude - not just the frequency. Please. I beg you. Don't make me talk about these things. |

Hehehe, Abu. Yeah, there are thousands of ways to do any one thing in Photoshop. To talk about them in detail all would take years.

That's what makes all these tutorials so interesting. So many of us are self taught that we may know only one or two of those thousands of ways, so seeing how other people accomplish things often produces some good forehead slapping moments for me.

Frequency: High, Medium, and Low
variable Frequency Plug-in: Lum Frequencies That is the bulk of my journey with these things. I got more in my archives somewhere, but that stuff right there should be more than enough for a self-starter. Kudos. I'm going back under my boulder now. |
