You can probably get by without a prim collar, and you might even be able to make system sleeves look that good, but that's definitely going to need a prim skirt.

You might find something already made at Silent Sparrow that's "close enough".

Είμαι συγνώμη.

Making outfits in SL starts with the system clothes layers. More advanced clothes (and that dress is going to require a more advanced design) involve attaching solid or flexible objects to your avatar to create (for example) flared skirts and open sleeves.

There's a lot of useful starting points on this page:

Ash, since you are new, welcome... :)

I see Argent has posted again while I was typing, but I'll go ahead and post this anyway just in case a longer explanation will help.

Clothing requires texturing using an outside program such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Gimp, etc. to create the textures to match the 3D avatar mesh templates. Then the textures must be uploaded into SL and the clothing created. You can find all kinds of information about that in the Texturing Tips section of the forum.

Clothing parts that are not form-fitting to the avatar's body, such as flowing sleeves and skirts and tall collars, must be made of "prims" which are like in world building blocks that we can shape in certain ways. You can learn all about building in world at the Ivory Tower of Primitives.

Soooooo, learning to make clothing is time consuming and requires skill, effort, and lots of patience. This is why so many residents prefer to buy clothing in world from people who can make it look beautiful and not like blobby lumps. :D

If you want this dress NOW, you would be better off to buy some Linden dollars and go shopping. In world shops that might have something similar include Barerose Tokyo and BadKatz, but there are thousands of shops so also search for "goth". You can also shop on XstreetSL.com. Even if you don't find the exact dress, with a little shopping mania you can find several similar outfits and mix and match the parts till you have what you want.

I think that outfit looks more like something from Silent Sparrow or Crimson Shadow Rezzable.

If you really do want to try your hand at making clothes --it's fun! -- then I suggest that you begin by reading through some of Natalia's very nicely-done tutorials at . She writes in a good, straightforward way that beginners can understand, and she uses lots of illustrations.

The place to ask that is in the Products wanted forum. You'll have much better luck there. This is the place to learn how to do it yourself.

Be aware that you won't get something exact. You'll need to compromise based on what is possible within SL.

You'll get a flexi-skirt, for example, and not something that moves and flows exactly like fabric. The sleeves may well be sculpties, which don't move or flow at all. And so forth.

I just don't want to see you setting yourself up for disappointment.
