First of all, I'm crossposting this in the Building, Texturing, and Animation forums. I know some people only ever really look at specific forums, and I wish to get everyone to see this, generally.
Now then
I've long been working on a tutorial site idea, but with just my own I find that I don't have enough time to dedicate to the project, to make it truly effective, and as useful as I'd like.
I'd like to change my plan a little bit, and also host other peoples' tutorials and tips, mainly from this forum, on my website. To this end, I'd like to request permission from those who have written tutorials to use your work (You will be given credit, and I will not change any information) and also, if you're willing, for links to tutorials you'd like hosted on my website. If you don't provide links, I will find some, but probably not all, of yours on my own.
I'll be doing the maintenance and work for making it the same there as it is here, and ask for no more work from you than your consent. You've already done plenty of work by writing them ^-^
If you're willing, please post in this thread with your consent and any links you'd like to give. Alternatively, PM me with the same info.
Thanks to all those who have written tutorials, and to those who will in the future!
-------------------------------
Also, I'm more than willing to host tutorials and tips that are not from the forums, and also any tools and/or free content packages you'd like to have available.
In the end this website is planned to be more than just tutorials, but a content creator's haven, with tools, information, tutorials, and anything else you can think of.
If you'd like to help develop this website alongside me, contact me please.
NOTE:: Website URL not currently available, am right now registering the domain.

From: Beverly Ultsch /me wonders what the scripters did wrong I forgot about them, mostly. Sounds horribly, doesn't it? Posting there now, too! (Generally, I just don't see many scripting tutorials, so didn't think about it. Thank you!)

They've got more going for them than the other content creators in terms of resources. Offer still stands though, since they may want to host things elsewhere and have things in more than one place as well. Plus I'm just cool like that.

Tutorials should go on the SL Wiki, in the content creation section.
Some time ago (before I think there *was* an SL wiki), I posted a short tutorial on making alpha masks using gimp. You're free to dig that up and post it anywhere.

And I don't think I've ever seen anyone mention any tutorials there, really, aside from Lindens. ETA:: Either way, it's still easier to find in someplace dedicated purely to content creation. With the Wiki you still have to search or stumble a bit. I plan to keep this site organized and easy as possible to use. Another note is that I don't think the wiki is willing/able to host files such as animations, sculpty files, some types of images, etc, so a dedicated site is again more useful. Not that the wiki isn't still useful.

You're more than welcome to mirror any tips, tutorials, templates, or whatnot I've posted here on these forums or linked to elsewhere. If I may make a suggestion, be sure to link to these forums for people who might come across your site without knowing what a great resource this place is.

Thank you, Chip, and don't worry, I will ^-^ Ill have links to the forums, download pages, wikis, and so on. Mostly just official SL places, but probably a few resident created as well (Such as the un-official LSL Wiki).

I've been off in my own direction lately. If you manage to find anything that I've written that you want to use, feel free.
