Anyone else had any luck with vertical stripes on shirts? Everytime I seem to try using the original templates I end up with the middle looking nice but warping on the outside. Just downloaded the chip templates and am going to try these out, but wanted to see if there was a technique for doing this that may have already been brought up. Thanks.

The SL chest size can be customized, so what looks good on one av won't on another. Same problem in RL.

Robin will probably jump in here. She does a lot of nice shirts with patterns stripes on them, so I look forward to her reply also. (and anyone elses!) For me, Anytime I'm using a pattern like stripes I make it a habit to squeeze more pattern into the side areas of the front and back using the transform tools. The side areas do seem to stretch around the avie more so I'm simply compensating for that. Also, on the female avie, the breast adds extra pattern stretching, so I do a little liquifying to condense more pattern over the side of the breast to try and minimize that. Alternatively, you could also warp the pattern to match the size/contour of the template. The result will look like stripes getting closer and smaller at the bottom of the template, but will look closer to straight when applied to the avie, especially on men's backs. Those a few things--looking forward to seeing others. In the end though, It's pretty much impossible to get perfect on every avatar--so you do your best and get it as close as you can. The closer you get, the better 'illusion' you'll provide in world, and really, that's what counts!!!!
