Advice needed, adding details in clothing

I have been experimenting with making clothes.
I have been experimenting a bit using AV Painter to understand seams and placement
but also have been using mainly Photoshop too.
I have been curious about how I draw in realistic features like pockets, jewelery,
ornate buttons and textured items hanging out of the pockets.
I have had some good and some bad outcome with this.
I made smock bit back ago with paintbrushes but it definitely didn't turn out.
Recently I attempted a vest that had fisher men's vest in front and corset type back,
it definitely needs more work in different areas.
The pockets details aren't exactly what I was going for but is close.
My goal is to make the pockets look more realistic with actual hand drawn objects
inside but I have discovered when lining up certain fabrics and details that things
get very distorted like this...

Also with buttons I notice its very hard to do details for area that is 8 by 8 pixels especially when I have to reduce to fit it on shirt, etc.
Any advise?
Here is also back, I also trying to figure out how to do better ribbons that are hand
drawn on clothes this corset style but I am also thinking of experimenting with aprons too.
Is there a way to do this with UV textures or am I trying to do something too difficult.
What are limitations of hand drawn images on clothing? Has any one else hit this?

I made this shirt too but I tweaked I guess wrong and the seams
turned out this way.
I wonder if there is anyone who knows how to repair seams gone bad?
Biggest problem I am having is neck area, shoulders, and arms.
It is even worse when lining up with plaids. No clue how to line it up properly.
I don't have image of this but its worse I have found under the arms and sides with plaids.

Repairing seams depends largely upon your technique for designing the clothing in the first place. Always try to keep your alterations non-destructive too. Never execute more operations than your application's undo history can handle. Preview often!

Your best bet if you are using only a 2D image editor is to cut your graphic (piece of fabric) into two sections and apply each to opposite sides of the seam on new layers. Then, use a mesh distortion (i.e. Photoshop's Liquify) filter to bring both sides into alignment. Use a widely feathered eraser to blend those layers back into your main fabric layer before merging them.

If you have a 3D paint program (i.e. Deep Paint 3D) then you can define your fabric as a brush texture and paint across the seams in projection mode. This will give you perfect alignment. You will still need to blur portions of higher resolution textured polygons to match those of lower resolution textured polygons on opposite sides of the seams in your 2D image editor.

I got no clue what tool to use in liquify there is many but I did try few.
Anyone know how to feather?
And what about if the seams still show up even with all the blending, etc?
I have been painting 3d wise now for few week with Avpaint the hair & face below.

Use the one at the very top of the toolbox. It looks like a finger and is called the Push/Pull tool. Adjust your brush size on the right of the dialog.

Feathering is nothing more than using a large eraser brush, in this case, with a soft edge. One of the default brushes should work nicely.

That simply means you need to do more work. It is possible to blend most textures to the point where seams are barely there. Some places require that you reduce details (blur the higher resolution side of the seam).

I have not used that product, so I don't know how it compares to others.

Deep paint 3D should not be $1500. I only paid $600 for my full version copy, and got it direct from Right Hemisphere about two years ago.

Thanks for the tips.
The official site now is charging 1500 when I looked it up, either way even 600 usd that too much for me to spend when that entire months income for me.
AV paint just puts the uv template in 3d format to paint on.
I finally with was able to pull off decent hair texture after months of trying
and failing.
It isn't perfect but it's L$2495 in world and L$2500 at slex about 10 usd.
Whole lot cheaper for me to do the 3d painting in
Avpainter and easier to figure out then Blender.
