First time I have tried to use Robin's template for t shirts ( I wish she would make more. :D Jackets, skirts, and the like. <looks pleadingly? :D> ) to do a t shirt with text on the back and ran into a bit of a problem. Well, to best *desc* the problem, here, a snapshot.

and that *should* look like the front...

Yes, this is a design I hope to sell, apart of my "Attitude" line, so please, no 'borrowing' the idea for yourself. :D Anyone can tell me how do I fix this problem? Thanks!

Rose

OH!!! I *almost* furgot... The shirt settings for wrinkles / looseness/ etc are all set to *0*, zero, nada, zilch, etc... So it should be skin tight on me. I did try upping those settings with out any luck. :P

:( Unfortunately what you're seeing here is just the wrapping of the model, as far as I know there is really no way to improve text visibility across that area of the back. I have had a little success by keeping text between the shoulder blades, or towards the top of the back, but overall I usually just restrict any text to the front of a shirt myself.

Because a t-shirt is basically made of the avatar's skin it follows all the contours of the avatar, and the shoulder blades in this case really squish text, especially in the Turn 180 position.

*Edit: Just to see exactly how text reacts I uploaded these two textures (squooshed for forum use) and applied them to shirts.

The result is varied obscuration depending on the pose and the shape of my avatar. :(

The area around Text 3 seems the most problematic on my avatar, but it could change depending on the shape of who's wearing the shirt.

So I may have to do an odd bizarre jacket layer t shirt? That'd be wierd...

The jacket layer will almost certainly distort in much the same way as the T-shirt layer - it affects your avies skin in effect, and the layers basically determine which bits show through, so a short sleeved but full bodied jacket will show the sleeves but not body of a long sleeved shirt.

The distortions are sadly pretty dependent on your av. I'd guess on most males (wider shoulders after all) Text 2 and Text 3 would be the worst affected, but you might find some where that's not the case.

:) Good luck trying to find a way around it, the shirt idea is very cute by the way. Perhaps we'll get an avatar upgrade eventually?
