OFF line avatar for clothes creation

Somewhere, I read there was an offline program that you can use to see what your clothes would look like on an avatar. I have been so many places I dont have a clue as to where I saw that information. I think, it was like when you upload a clothing texture, you can see what it would look like on parts of the body before committing to the upload. Anyone got any info on something like this? Reason being is there are times when I am unable to log onto sl but still want to work on clothes.
