Can someone link me to a tat making tut? It would be much appreciated. I've looked the forums over a bit but haven't had much luck... It might be really easy and if it is then this, lol, well just just consider it a newb question ok?

First question is basically what file format is best for saving files in photoshop for a tat?

Second which is better, creating a skin with tats already on it? (would this make it possible to put a tat on lets say one arm or leg?) or is it better to create the tat as an undergarment or shirt

and third, is it possible to make an animated tat...such as a glow, sparkle maybe

By putting "tattoo tutorial" into the "Search this Forum" link on the right side of the Texturing Tips forum page, you find just a few links down in the results /109/2b/76703/1.html which has, of all things, a tutorial on making tattoos.

I suspect you would benefit from reading the stickies at the top of the forum for all sorts of useful info on texturing in SL.

whether you make tattoos as clothing layers or directly on the skin, you still cannot do just one arm as the templates supplied only show one arm, you can however do just one leg, as the templates show both legs. there is some great information on the forums if you are willing to read a lot of threads
