I am curious which program experienced SL texture developers use? I have used Texture Maker and Genetica. Any other good ones out there?

You have a source for hundreds of textures even before stepping out of the house. And not all textures you take need to be used as how the real world uses them. |

photoshop, and a digital camera is cool to get raw material but isn't enough alone, i see lots of non seamless textures or textures that show awfull jpeg compression artefacts

Sourcing with a camera/scanner and making textures seamless is common practice in the industry. |

If your textures are tiling bad and blurry, it's your fault, not Photoshop. If you want to make your textures seamless using Photoshop, pull up a chair to the Offset filter. _____________________

you didn't got me
camera is good cause you can recuperate hi rez material rather than scouring the web for materials in jpeg that will most likely have compression artifact and good knowledges of photoshop to tweak your raw material and turn it into good seamless textures as i say most of the time i find a lot of textures in sl that are not seaming or are mirror seamed (horrible) or textures with big artifacts _____________________

Actually, this is reminding me that I know of a few really cool tools for making images tile seamlessly. You take a photo, pass it into the tool, and out pops a seamless texture. Give me a minute to find the links.
