I just wanted to let people know about a free utility called Mosaica from Kerlin Softworks. It automatically creates mosaics from images, including missing and skewed tiles. It can generate matching bump maps too, although that's not useful directly in SL. I attached an example of a mosaic I made for SL. I thought other people might find this useful too.
