Elimnating Highlights in Harsh Sunlight

Does anyone else have this problem?

In harsh sunlight my avatars face starts to look like a clown...its nice in dim or shade, but the full light makes it look like a painted cartoon. Is there anything I can do to permanetly appear shaded?

Try turning on the avatar vertex program in preferences. It seems to help spread light more evenly across avatars. Also, crank down the facial detail. Unless you're going for an elderly, weathered look, this slider should almost always be on zero.
