I have a question about tattoos, since i'm trying to set myself up as a vendor. I can get the texture uploaded, but I don't know how to save it, like I do my shirts and such.

So, anyone want to help a newbie out?

pick which clothing layer or skin layer you want the tattoo to be sold on, i.e. shirt, undershirt, top, head, lower, whatever, then create a new garment for whichever you choose. select the texture you uploaded for $10L for that garment, then save it with a unique name. set the proper permissions, and sell away!

If you want to save it at the Skin level, open your Inventory, and right click (Command Click on a Mac) on the Body Parts folder to get the Contextual Menu. Choose New Body Parts > New Skin, and give it whatever name you like.

Then wear that skin, go into Appearances, and apply your tattoo to the Tattoo thumbnails in the skin (just like you would your clothing.)

That way, the skin will have your name as the Creator. If you just modify a default Linden skin, the creator will say "Nobody."

When you sell them, you might want to have a couple of choices in the folder, for instance both as Underware and as Skin, so that people with custom skins can still wear them, and so can people who want to use the Underware layer. If you make them No Transfer, you don't have to worry about people buying one, and handing out the extras to their friends.
