It takes some experience to figure out which parts of the costume stretch, and and how the seams match, but generally bottoms go on top of tops, and jackets are skin tight.

Other than that, you just paint it the way you want it to be, create an alpha channel for clean edges for the parts that "aren't there", and that is all there is to it.

Making good clothes is hard, so don't get discouraged. You will throw away your first efforts, unless you are lucky.

You may just want to upload the templates themselves and see how they fit; you can look at them in the preview window and take a snapshot, if you don't want to pay the upload fees.

so, you've got all the tools, but need to learn photoshop. i was in the same boat a few weeks ago. there are tons of free tutorials online. i would also recommend getting an inexpensive photoshop book. i like the visual quickstart guide. it gives you a good general start, but you'll probably need something more in depth when you get to more advanced functions. the only other thing left to do is practice. it will take some time to get used to all the tools, and figure out which ones work best for certain effects. hope that helped and good luck!

i'm still learning myself, but if you have any specific questions, feel free to IM me ingame. i'll be happy to help if i can.
