Hi everyone. I'm new to this stuff in SL, but I am learning to make framed art, for sale, using my RL photos. I uploaded a picture a week ago & all was well. Since then, though I have not been able to upload any pictures (I have even tried one of a smaller size). I always get the following message:
Unable to upload xxxxxxxx-xxxx... due to the following reason: The server is experiencing unexpected difficulties. Please try again later.
The 'xxx...' there is a UUID number, I suppose. I have searched the forums & found some hits on this error, but no real solutions.
Does anyone know what I can do to get my uploads working again, or at least provide some explanation as to what causes this error?
I have tried: clearing cache; rebooting; trying to upload with my avatar in different locations; using my other computer; & using my alt avatar. I have tried numerous times every day this past week - every time I get the same error.
This is so annoying... can anyone shed some light on what is going on here? Thanks.

Hi, It appears to be secondlife itself having issues with their asset server, I've been getting the error for the last couples of days, I would just keep trying every now and then. Take care

I kept getting the same message over the past few days (and still getting it today) and kept trying to upload. Now I see in my inventory that I have four copies of the same file. Must have uploaded despite of message. Check your inventory

HELP?? I had this problem for a while and found that if I copied and pasted the pics and LMs from one notecard to the next it would not save. If I created a new notecard and dragged the LM and pics to it then it would save with no problem. Hope that makes sense!

No the upload is grid wide. It really won't matter if the asset server is jacked up. Just wait until you have a more reliable day to get some work done. I have been crashing on uploads all week. I find if I log in early in the AM it's far more stable in general.

I'm not sure that the problem is necessarily in SL's servers. I have occasionally had this error message crop up when the problem is in my own router or modem. I can generally clear it by simply rebooting the modem. My theory is that SL sends this all-purpose message any time its servers get a file that they consider corrupted -- sort of like the generic error messages that Microsoft is famous for. They tell you that there's a problem --- duh! -- but not what the problem is.
