hi...

is there a tutorial anywhere that explains how to get a decent hemline round the neck, sleeves and bottom of tshirts? i dont want my shirts to look painted and id liek it to look slightly raised like rl shirts do...

I have seen a tutorial somewhere but I have looked at so many tutorials in the past year I have no idea where I saw it. This is what I do, if it is any help:



Just inside the hemline, I run a light line (I use the lighten/darken feature on PSP, I believe on Photoshop you would dodge/burn), then immediately next to that I run a dark line. I blend them a little, then on the dark line I make a line of stitching (I made the stitches big here so they were easier to see, I usually go smaller than that), and it works for me.

Note: Becareful not to put the light line right at the edge of the 'fabric' because it can end up looking like a halo, which you don't want.

Here's the absolute best discussion we've ever had on the subject in this forum >>> . Robin's method for creating stitching (post #6) is wonderfully easy. I've been using it for a long time and have had very pleasing results.
