Ulrika's (Almost) Free Pose Packs Released!

I've finished uploading and organizing over 134 poses, which have been divided into 11 different packs.

Currently, the packs cost $10 each to cover the cost of uploading (~$1400). As soon as I recoup my upload costs, I will make the pose packs free of charge for all forever! I also accept donations.

You can find the 11 pose packs at Aqua 224, 224 in the Aqua mall in the animation section.

By popular request all the poses have been combined into a single large collection of 134 poses. The total price, if purchased individually, was $120. The new price for the combined collection is now only $100.

As soon as I get a return on my upload investment, I will release these poses for free!

Wow that's a LOT of $L's just for uploaded files.

Im guessing there are few that want to pay to support the others free ride.

I agree.. I have seen some outrageous prices, and some I know are not created, just simply uploaded...

I have had a chance to play with Poser a bit and it' s time consuming making your own so I know that not very likely when 100's of poses are brought out, that they are actually created by the seller.

I have made a few poses and a couple animations some are still in the works and some are not so great lol, still trying to figure out the best fps for the moving ones, and since it varies on each type, it's frustrating for me lol

However, for those interested I have a few poses and animations out at the Leda mall, I sell the poses for $5 and animations for $10 each.. I am not sure yet if this is a fair price or not... I wanted to do them for $1 and $5 but then I am not sure if it's worth my headache, since I am no pro, some animations take up to an hour for me to get em even decent...

Any suggestions on pricing? I am all ears, and will take all comments into consideration

All the poses are at Aqua and at Ulrika's Werkstatt. There are 134 poses at a total cost L$100. (That L$0.70 per pose.) They were in a tough-to-find location but have since been moved to a more accessible spot.

The poses are all the default poses in the MacOS version of Poser and were exported using a python script and uploaded individually. (It took hours!)

My goal was to help lower the outrageous prices by releasing all the canned, free poses and animations quickly for free. It's been done for animations and as soon as I make my money back for the poses upload, they'll become free as well.

In the future I expect simple animations and poses will be plentiful and the more expensive items will be those which require artists to add value and time. (I'm working on a new dance right now.)

Why not help lower prices by giving out those free creations for ... free!

That's the goal! To release the pose pack for free. I'm donating the many hours it took to convert, upload, and package the files. I'm only charging temporarily to cover the L$1400 upload cost. Once I recoup that they are free forever.

To correct you I charged L$199 for packages with 20 to 30 poses, not just 10, and the all-in-one set is coming at a price of L$5 per pose. And I have done so from day one of SL 1.4, even at the time when there was almost nobody else ready to offer anything. I think my prices have been and still are very fair and reasonable

It is also not just random rubbish poses I offer. There are other poses that I give away for free. The packages I sell all contain fine selections of themed erotic and romantic poses. Some data I used also cost me US$ to obtain, as did the Poser software that I used. Yesterday I spent several hundred US$ on a license for motion data that I will use to develop my next offering to the SL community

If you want bitch at somebody look for other people. Most people who bought things from me liked it and came back for buying more

No complaints here Anshe. I feel your prices reflect the cost associated with real-world expenses as well as the cost of maintaining your SL infrastructure. Thanks for making such great animations and thank you for allowing me to place my animations in your store.

It's great that you are giving away all these animations and poses. It will help lessen the players that upload from the net free poses and animations and sell them inworld for 100L each. Keep spreading the anim love!
