I have had quite a few people IM me about my clothing classes, asking if I was going to continue, in light of Linden Lab’s changes in the Instructor program. The short answer is, yes. However, there are changes. I would like to update anyone who is interested.

I will continue to do the free “Basic Clothing for the Non-Professional Artist” class for as long as I am able. The next class will probably be around Jan 20th? I am now engaged to be married in RL, so my time in SL is becoming more and more limited.

I also, plan to start doing private instruction, on a fee basis. I have taken the basic class and upgraded it for one-on-one, giving emphases on the areas that have generated the most questions from students. There is more hands on with pictorial walk throughs on making a basic blouse and sweatshirt. I am also developing a one-on-one class on using prims in clothing.

All of this will be after the first of the year. In the meantime, I wish everyone of you a wonderful Christmas and Holiday season, however you celebrate the time.

See you next year,

Jen

Jennifer--
Glad to hear you are planning on continuing with your basic class for free. I enjoyed/learned stuff even the 2nd run through.

Great idea for the one-on-ones. I'm sure you will get plenty of takers.

Happy Holidays to you as well.

Free Clothing Class @ Mystical Mastery's
01-04-2007 05:49
I teach a free class on Mystica at the New Mystica Mastery's School(check events for January 5th) at 7PM on CLothing Creation. I do not go over using software to create textures, but you will leave the class with an understanding of this, as well as a script that generates flexi skirts.
Thanks, Jennifer for all you do, and congrats on your upcoming marriage.

CLothing Classes Today, January 8

Actually there are two classes, both at 6PM.
NCI Princess is doing advanced clothing creation at NCI, and it is on the events page.

I am doing an intermmediate class on clothing creation, after which you will have a completed top, pants and flexi skirt. This class is on Mystica at the Learning Centre.

Still confused? IM in world and I will be glad to get you going to the right classes.

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.
