After painstakingly shaping and aligning tori on my cloak shoulders, then flexifying hollowed cylinders for the hanging drapes--when I wear the cloak, the shoulder toris flicker in position and out of position. Mostly out!
I removed all flex, but the tori still spring in and out.
Then, to better see the problem, I colored each shoulder tori differently. Prior to this, each shoulder consisted of 3 path cut toris per shoulder in a frame of one tori...all the same texture.
Now this garishly colored cloak renders fine when worn. What's going on? There are no alpha channels, but the toris' flickering position kind of reminds me of that alpha rendering problem.
Can this be caused by identically textured toris intersecting the tori horseshoe-shaped frame?
Sigh. I couldn't afford the store-bought cloaks, but this thing is a sad, sad mess!
