I'm looking for textures of major kitchen appliances (e.g. refrigerator, oven, microwave) to use in building items for personal (i.e. not retail) use.

Have you found these yet? If not, I can definately take some photos of my mother's kitchen appliances and upload them into SL.. are you interestsed? Here is my address, if you want to see some funky stuff:
