Hi all,
You've been such a great help to me so far I thought I'd tax your brains yet again lol.
I'm having an issue with a lower body skin template that I'm uploading. The skin looks fine in photoshop, looks fine in preview, even looks fine if you double click it & view it from your inventory.
But when placed on an avatar, the skin gets these white splotches on it in various places. The places are generally the same though when dropped on a different avatar.
I will do my best to post a pic of what I mean when I get home from work but has anyone seen this before?
Thanks in advance! -Syn

To further explain what I mean, the splotches arent fully white, like someone painted a white streak on there. They are more like I had come into the original template in photoshop and and took the dodge tool to lighten areas of the skin in various places (which I didnt do).
I'm pullin my hair out here lol

Check your alpha channel to see if you have inconsistancies in the transparency that allow the default skins to show through more or less in certain areas. If your texture is opaque I don't really have a theory.

It should be noticable in preview also but it's the only theory I have off the top of my head.

The problem with the preview is the joinst are completely straight and the arms are up and straight out..
so something that looks ok in preview may not deal well when the joints move..
Knees,Elbows,Wrists,Crotch. Try lightening the spots your having trouble with you might be able to blend it

Just found this post again and wanted to update it with the fix I found. The splotches were caused by highlighting that the avatar's muscle slider was generating. I can't remember which slider it was off the top of my head but it was under shape->legs. I think it was muscle definition or something. At any rate, lowering that slider removed the splotches. This explains why it didn't show up in preview mode too
