Looking for old looking, worn out textures

Can anyone help me locate textures that have that worn out, beat up look? Floors especially.

My building is an old, worn out shop (think red light district, 18th century paris) and I have found a few good old looking tiles, but what I am really looking for is a solid stone floor or a beat up brick floor - yellowed/cracking...etc.

I also would like to find textures with windows in them of old beat up wallpaper. Finding some with windows in is pretty hard and my eyes are crossing from looking - LOL

Help!? Anyone??

Have you tried Textures R Us? I found some beautiful worn looking wood textures, and there may be some brick/stone textures there that fits your need.

I'd love to see your build when you're done. Sounds very interesting.

Maybe you might find what you need here. Many of the texture vendors steal it from this site and sell it anyway.

I have some neolithic cave paintings, about 30,000 years old. Is that old enough?

Just because you can, does mean you should.

But isn't that copyright infringment? ;)
Seriously, have you tried turbosquid? They have excellent textures.
But I think the nbest come from movies. Watch a DVD on computer with a $10 screen capture program. I works great. I set my Hypersnap to autosave in tga.

I try as much as I can to make my own textures whenever possible and if I do borrow copyright free images I change them enough to make them unique. On good day I may find inspiration peice I may clone bits of hair or skin or lips but I mouse drawn a reproduction of the rest of the image.
Only thing I ussually cheat with is preset shapes because its hard to do lines for me.
It sometimes takes days and some take months for me to make a image to my liking..
Recolors of black and white wood block prints from over 100 years ago is the only other thing I often borrow and only change parts of but its not my art, I wouldn't sell it or say say it's my art even if its not own by anyone.

If anyone is looking to create their own brick textures, there is a brick design software from Interstate Brick. You can select and arrange various kinds of brick and mortar in any sequence. And its free.

http://interstatebrick.paccoast.com/default.jsp?InstRegionProdLineID=65&IRPLMenuID=836

You can then use it as a base to apply weathering and graffiti, etc. over it.

Thanks to everyone who posted a helpful answer. I practically LIVE at Textures R Us, it is by far the best locale I have found so far for 3d textures. Just wanted to see if there was something I was missing out there.

And...that site with all the textures...whoa. I had no idea - I see those all over SL under the heading of 'original textures'. Pretty incredible.

I appreciate everyone's responses. Thanks again = )

The brick link I mean.
Pity it doesn't work with Linux under wine. Looks like I can't use it.

the last one is intended to be old walpaper that has been patched up. :)
