Hello all,

I been creating and selling skins for some time now. Somehow, my male lashes keep being a problem. I have tried all, but...
Now, I just made a transparant ..area, vertical trough the eye, and I see that (and this is the problem) the lower eyelid/lash looks normal there. But what am I saying.....there is nothing there, so guess even SL then shows it normal.

The area in the corner is in alpha, tried saving TGA 32 bits, as PNG (normally work with that format)...SIGHS

Anyone some (new) tips?

but this one, is when I am in appearance..

Obviously, I am doing/having something wrong, since this problem doesnt accur with my ladies. The only difference that I have there is that I used painted on lashes. (see the nr 16, thats my own skin. I have have the lashes in the PSD there completely blank, so no lashes at all, and then the painted lashes in the skin itself. For the male, I tried the same (only no pained lashes) but keep having this problem with the lower lid. I putted back bnow the standard SL lash, in dark grey, its a little better...but still not all perfect?)

Yes, the SL lashes are wretched. And no, there is nothing that I know of that will make them completely go away.

Some early Linden decided that we will have them, and have them we do. I wish they would let us make our own alpha for them; but they don't. That's one of the things that's in the Character Folder, on each client, and we're pretty much stuck with it.

You can change it for yourself, by hacking your Character files on your own computer, but it doesn't help for commercial skins.

But it could be worse! Try the newest Release Client, to see how much worse. :D

The reason that the female skins look good to you is you can't see the SL lashes there, because of the painted lashes that you have on the skin. They are still there. If you get the right angle, you'll see them.

The good news is that no one pays any attention to the SL lashes, except skin creators when making their own skins, so they are functionally invisible.

I wish I had better news for you, but I'm afraid this is all I've got.

Hope it helps!
