Do anyone here have any idea to make a tattoo on a single arm?
Its like I am looking to skin a small tattoo on my right forearm, but the standard LL's upperbody body template will apply the tattoo to both arms. Is there a way to make unique textures for each arm? Using alpha laying over skins, undershirts.. etc?
Please help!

As far as I know, the only way to do this is using an attachment. - Ensure that you leave some blank space at the edges of the tatt, so that the it doesn't repeat visibly when used to texture a cylinder.
- Upload the tattoo texture with a transparent background (i.e. only the ink, no skin).
- Create a cylinder.
- Wear the cylinder on your upper arm.
- Position and size it so that it sinks into your arm, with about 1/3 to 1/2 (depending on tatto size) of it surface sticking out just above the surface of your skin.
- Texture it with your tattoo.
- Tweak the position/shape and the texture offsets and repeats to position the tatt correctly.
Note that if you position it too close to the surface of your skin, it may vanish at some camera distances - but if you let it stick out too far it will look as though it is seperate from your arm - you will have to play with this distance to get it just right.

Ben is right, because there is only one arm on the UV map the Lindens made for the Avatars. So the arms are always mirror images of each other, and there is nothing at all that any of us can do about that. On the good side, making your tattoo as an atachment means that you can wear it even when you change skins!

Thanks Ben & Robin, I guess attachments are only the way to go for now, till the Lindens upgrade the skin template or so. I guess thats it is!
